Annie Leibowitz

Image by Annie Leibowitz , one of the most important photographers of the last 25 years. I can't find a website, so check out google images for examples of her work.

Rankin

Rankin is a very influential English photographer. He is definitely worth looking at for ideas. Some pages NSFW/NSS.

David LaChapelle

David LaChappelle has a very recognisable style. His images are highly stylised with a unique approach to mise en scene. He's worth a look in terms of ideas and inspiration. Please be mindful of which of his images you post. Some are definitely NSFW/NSS.

This is a brilliant website dedicated to the art of the title sequence (the clue is in the title). Click on image.

Watch The Titles

Another great website for film title ideas and inspiration. Click on the title above for access.

Magazine terms glossary

Click on the picture of Nicki Minaj to find a rather useful magazine terms glossary . For those of you attempting to create your own magazine covers this is essential reading.

Magazine covers-flatplans

Examples of a flatplan and other very interesting ideas to help you with the creation of a magazine cover, contents page and indeed, a double page spread. It is worth attempting to find similar sites yourselves to gain insight from the pov of other media creative types.

Pitch Feedback

Make brief notes for each of the following points. Homework is to post your comments on each other's blogs. (You obviously need to post your pitch first). What do you like about the idea? How does the product use, develop or challenge existing media conventions? Is the target audience realistic? How well do you think the product will do? Give reasons for this.

25 word pitch

You have one lesson to come up with a 25 word pitch for your magazine/ film. You should have a brief visual element to help illustrate your idea. This is where your moodboard will be helpful. Click on links for examples: Nicky Chapman Lily Jones Hannah Skidmore
